MK5K – THE DIANE TSIALTAS MEMORIAL RUN SET TO RAISE OVER $25,000 FOR THE MARY KAY ASH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Mississauga, ON, May 01, 2016

The second annual MK5K will see corporate staff, local Independent Sales Force members and consumers lace up their running shoes on Saturday, August 27th with the goal of raising $25,000 for the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

This year's event holds a special place in the hearts of event organizers and participants, as it is in memory of a dear friend and colleague lost in a tragic accident last fall.

"Diane was such a kind hearted woman, who was loved by everyone she met. Her passion was running, and as an avid runner she encouraged, coached and mentored many others that shared in her passion," said Dawn Gerry, Director of the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation and National Director of Marketing for Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd. "It's in her memory that we walk and run to support those women affected by cancer, and women and children affected by domestic violence. It's a way to pay tribute, while inspiring each of us to continue to make a difference in the lives of others, as Diane so often did."

Mary Kay has long recognized the importance of supporting those women undergoing cancer treatment through the Look Good Feel Better® program, as well as educating women about domestic violence and keeping them safe from it. The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation is supported by hundreds of Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd. and is an important part of the legacy of Mary Kay Ash.
