OUR MISSION

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is in our DNA

When Mary Kay Ash started her company in 1963, her goal was clear: create a company that offers opportunity for women who had been denied it in corporate America. A place where “thinking like a woman” would be considered an asset – not a liability. While the mission started with women in mind, its ripple effect resulted in a company culture inclusive of anyone who had been overlooked, underestimated, or ignored.

Since 1963, and 1978 in Canada, our mission has not wavered. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment where all members of the Mary Kay community are treated equitably, can contribute to and benefit from the company’s mission, and can fully leverage their strengths in pursuit of their greatest aspirations.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are inherently a part of our corporate DNA.

With this strong foundation, we continuously work toward forging an inclusive, diverse, and equitable culture in every community we touch. We know Mary Kay Ash would not want us to sit idly by. She would want us to speak up, grow and expand our efforts to continue making our Mary Kay workplace and the world, a better place.

Collective Society 360
Collective Society 360 is a not-for-profit organization geared towards career and entrepreneurial development for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) youth and women. With a results-driven and strategic approach, they nurture and open the channels of communication for authentic conversations for professional growth and development.

We’re proud to support LeadHER TeacHER, a series of complimentary workshops that give BIPOC women a chance to connect, communicate and collaborate with other women on their journey to self-discovery in a safe space.

Native Women’s Association of Canada

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is a National Indigenous Organization representing the political voice of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people in Canada, inclusive of First Nations on- and off-reserve, status- and non-status, disenfranchised, Métis and Inuit. NWAC was founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of Indigenous women within their respective communities and Canada societies.

We’re proud to support Be the Drum, an entrepreneurial outreach and navigation program developed by NWAC designed to build the skills of Indigenous women entering the sphere of Business, Management, and Entrepreneurship.
