Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® PHA + AHA Resurfacer

Skin regenerates by shedding dead skin cells to make room for fresh ones. But not all dead skin cells always shed completely on their own. When they don’t, exfoliation is critical so that dead skin cells are completely removed. An exfoliating booster like this one helps speed up that process of skin renewal so you can see the smooth skin you want.

 

It is not recommended to use this booster with Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® Retinol 0.3. You should also avoid using other exfoliating products within the same day including TimeWise Repair® Revealing Radiance® Facial Peel, TimeWise® Microdermabrasion Refine or Clear Proof® Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask. It is also recommended that you avoid Clear Proof® products containing salicylic acid while using this booster.

• Squeeze 6 to 8 drops into your hands, and smooth the product over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
• Apply in the evening, two to three times per week, after both cleansing and toning your skin.
• Follow with your serum and evening moisturizer.
• Be sure to use a broad-spectrum SPF sunscreen the next day, and limit sun exposure while using this booster and the following week.

 

Poly-Hydroxy Acid (PHA) (gluconolactone): The second generation of hydroxy acid technology, poly-hydroxy acid (PHA) has a larger molecular size than alpha-hydroxy acid, meaning it works exclusively on the surface to deliver gentle yet effective exfoliation.

• Our amount of poly-hydroxy acid was specifically chosen so it can be left on skin. It helps improve skin radiance and the appearance of skin texture by breaking apart the bonds between dead skin cells to accelerate exfoliation on the top surface layer of skin.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) (glycolic acid): With a much smaller molecular size compared to poly-hydroxy acid, alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) easily works through the top surface layers of the skin to accelerate deeper exfoliation.

• Alpha-hydroxy acid helps accelerate skin renewal and exfoliation by breaking apart the bonds between dead skin cells on multiple surface layers.
• This leave-on acid also helps improve skin radiance and the appearance of skin texture for overall smoothness.

Glycerin: Skin-replenishing glycerin, a natural compound derived from vegetables, serves as the perfect complement to the powerful pairing of two exfoliating hydroxy acids.

• Glycerin is a widely used humectant due to its ability to attract water to itself and help boost moisture levels on the top layers of skin.
