Our Shelter Grants At Work
2011 Shelter Grant program
Thanks to your generous contributions to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation (MKACF), we were once again able to award Shelter Grants of $10,000 to 10 provinces and territories across the country.
We’d like to congratulate each of our 2011 recipients and thank them for the good works they do in assisting women and their children get back on their feet. Whether it’s providing basic essentials like repairs and increased security or support systems in the form of parenting support programs and education programs for teens and children to help stop the cycle, we know these grants will be put to good use.
As our founder, Mary Kay Ash, once said: “It is important to realize that you do not have to change a certain number of lives in order to make a difference in the world; you can do it by reaching out to just one person. That person can be anyone - a child, a friend, a customer, a homeless person, anyone at all. You don’t have to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Making a difference requires only your willingness to give to others – the more the better.”
Thank you for your continued support – and here’s to reaching new heights of success in 2012!
