Lifting Women's Spirits
Look Good Feel Better® (LGFB) is a national public-service program dedicated to helping women living with cancer manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer and its treatment. LGFB started with the concept that if a woman living with cancer can be helped to look good, the improved self-image could help her in her approach to cancer and its treatment.
In Canada, the MKACF is proud to support women living with cancer through the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CCTFA) sponsored Look Good Feel Better® program. The Look Good Feel Better® program is dedicated to assisting Canadian women living with cancer learn special cosmetic techniques to help manage the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. More than 60% of Look Good Feel Better volunteers are Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants who conduct cosmetic workshops in hospitals and cancer treatment centres nationwide.
Since its inception in 1992, it is estimated that the Look Good Feel Better® program has helped more than 90,000 women living with cancer. To learn more about Look Good Feel Better® program, click here.
