The MKACF raises funds to support programs through the sale of fundraising items and events, as well as donations made by the independent sales force, corporate staff and consumers.

More than 97 percent of every donation dollar goes directly to programs across the country. Less than three percent goes to administrative costs.

That can only happen because of Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd.'s generous funding. While most nonprofits rely on corporate sponsorships, they still spend anywhere from 15 to 50 percent on overhead and administrative costs.
